A bedroom without an end of bed bench is a room that's almost finished. That one piece — solid, purposeful, beautiful — is what pulls everything together. Our end of bed benches are built from solid American hardwood in our Missouri workshop, made to order, and designed to feel like they've always belonged in your room.
Sizing That Actually Fits
The most common rule of thumb: your bench should run about 80% of your bed's width, leaving a few inches of breathing room on each side. In practice, that means a 42"–48" bench for a queen bed and a 54"–60" bench for a king. We also build to custom dimensions — so if your space calls for something specific, just ask. We're happy to make it work.
Walnut or White Oak — Both Worth It
Walnut brings a warmth and depth that photographs beautifully and ages even better — rich, dark tones with grain that shifts in the light. White oak is the understated choice: pale, tight-grained, and at home in everything from a farmhouse bedroom with shiplap walls to a clean, modern space with linen bedding. Both are solid hardwood, both are sourced domestically, and both are built to outlast the trends.
Finished to Match Your Room
Choose Satin Clear Finish for a durable, easy-care surface, or go with Rubio Monocoat for a matte, natural finish that keeps the wood looking like wood. Rubio is available in Natural, White, Cotton White, Light Grey, Dark Grey, and Modern Black — each one a little different, all of them honest.
