Some bar stools fill a seat. The Contour fills a room. Handcrafted in our Missouri workshop from solid Black Walnut, this bar stool pairs a 1" thick seat and matching back panel with a clean flat black steel frame — the kind of piece that looks elegant and stands out in any location.

Wood That Tells a Story

The natural grain of Black Walnut is one of the most expressive hardwoods in North America — warm, rich, and entirely unique from board to board. Finished with a hand-applied Satin Clear Finish, the wood is protected with a smooth, low-sheen coat that lets the natural character of the grain come through. The result is a stool that gets better with age, not worse.

The low-profile back offers just enough support for long conversations around the island without crowding the counter. The open flat black steel base keeps the silhouette light and airy, making it a smart choice for smaller kitchens or open-plan spaces where visual weight matters.
